In fact, I will personally choose them every time. After the many years of weddings and elopements (and assorted other events) I've photographed, I have photographed many indoors. It comes down to where my happy place is, where I feel both solid and creative. Give me light,weather, open air, space to imagine you in natural beauty.
The groom's family own a charming Christmas Tree Farm near Banner Elk, NC. I was honored to photograph the elopement and dinner afterward. My goals were to capture the evening light, but the clouds took over, giving us just a glimpse of golden hour before we left the mountains. I think you can see the absolute beauty, Grandfather mountain in the distance, looking over the combined families and dogs.
